Wits End?

The girls and I had a pretty good weekend, but I'll get in to that in a bit.  First, I want to talk about our deck.  I know our porch and deck will be amazing once we're done, but if Matt or I ever try to embark on such a large renovation again, please smack us.  We have been working on this house since we moved in.  Home renovations are hard as it is, throw in full time jobs, 2 kids, and no sleep and you're talking border line insanity and maximum stress.  I know Matt's ready for it to be done.  I'm ready to have my husband back.  We're at our wits end when it comes to this project.  While I'm on the topic I'll share some photos of the progress:

So that's where we are with the deck.  We'll get the framing inspection this week, if all goes well Matt can start laying the deck boards.

On to the girls.  Both girls have colds they're fighting and I got a touch of it as well, but overall we had a good weekend.

The girls painted.

And played in their new tent from Gammy.

Maddy had dance class.

Here she is putting her tap shoes in to the new bag Tammy got her.

Of course she had to have an outfit change prior to class, and guess what outfit she chose?!  The white and gold outfit...some things aren't worth arguing with her over...

After dance Riley (and Emma) came over to play.

It was so cute, the girls would run through the sprinkler...but Rileys version was running around the perimeter of the sprinkler so she didn't get sprayed...so cute!

Maddy laying out towels for her and Riley.

Yesterday we went to the park with Aunt Anna  (again Maddy is wearing her white and gold tutu outfit).

The girls helped Anna water her flowers.

Even Rosco played at the park (until they got mad at us for having him at the park and he had to go home).

Happy 4th Anniversary

Happy 4th Anniversary to my wonderful husband!!!  I love you so much.  We met 10 years ago, can you believe it?  Where has the time gone?  We've done a lot in the past 10 years.

We bought our first home

Got engaged

Got 2 cute pups

Got Married

Went on an amazingly relaxing honeymoon (let's go back!!!)

Had our beautiful Madelyn

Then celebrated our 1st anniversary

We've taken a yearly trip to the beach (I think we need to up it to twice a year :)

We had our 2nd anniversary, but if I remember correctly I was pregnant with Camryn and pretty much just wanted to throw up and/or sleep (Cams you were rough on me!) - so there is no picture :)

Followed by the birth of our little wild child, our sweet Camryn

Then our 3rd anniversary trip to Annapolis (a year ago this weekend, seriously, how quickly does a year go by?!)

Phew...no wonder we're exhausted.  I feel so extremely blessed and look forward to and appreciate every day we have together with our amazing little girls.  I love you and am excited for all the years to come.

Driveway, out with the old and in with the new

So a new driveway may not be that exciting to the average person, but we never claimed to be average :)

Matt can't stand having to move cars around.  I must say it never bothered me too much, but it was definitely one of his biggest pet peeves.  Soo....we got a new driveway, and it is beautiful!!  Just look at it....

Here is a before of our driveway.

Starting to break it up.

The two cutest supervisors on the planet

Framing (is it called framing?..I was just informed by my hubby that it's called "Forming") the new driveway.

Ready for concrete

Beautiful

While we had the company out doing our driveway we also had them break up and re-do our back patio.  The patio always tilted towards our house so when it rained all the water and mud would run towards our house, bad for our foundation I'm sure and also made for a nice muddy entrance for the dogs through the doggy door.  We had them enlarge the patio and, like the driveway, it's beautiful, it really is!!

It's all coming along, slowly but surely, and as a result of LOTS of hard work.
