Bethany beach round 2

We took a quick trip to Bethany Beach the other weekend and had a lot of fun.  People are definitely catching on to our little beach addiction, but hey, what better way to maintain your tan right?!  Plus the beach is just such a wonderful place.  The sun, the sounds of the ocean, the smell, the breeze, it's just the best!

Anyways.  We were there Sat. - Tues. and got to spend time with our friends, especially the newest little member of our group and the first and only boy...sweet Logan.  I had so much fun snuggling him.

We found a way to keep the girls still for about a minute.

Nothing like muffins in your teeth.

We were able to celebrate Stephanie's birthday.  The girls picked out an ice cream cake with balloons on it for her.

Matt playing tag with Cams.

The sand crab obsession continues.

Emma calls the sand crabs "Santa Crabs" and carries them around with her.  She says they're sleeping.  It's pretty funny.

High tide came an hour or so after we got on the beach.  Since you have to stake your claim on the beach, when the tide comes up and encroaches on you, you're not left with many options since there's no where to move.  The boys (and girls) dug trenches to protect our site and not only did it provide entertainment, but when the water did come up, the kids had their own little river/pool.

You can see how much fun they had in their tide pools HERE and HERE.

All the kids from this trip.

Can't you just picture this 10 years from now, on a real jeep, hahaha.

The boys.

Popsicle time.

The friends we were staying with had their niece stay as well and the girls just loved playing with Paige.

We are so thankful for such generous friends who invited us to join on part of their beach trip.  We sure are lucky!!!  When school starts in a few weeks and routines return and weekends are spent running errands and cleaning, etc. the girls are going to be in for a shock.  At least we're enjoying every moment of summer!!

Hershey park, Pop Pops, and Camp Aunt Anna

The girls have their last gymnastics class of the summer next week!

Maddy continually climbs to the very top of the rope!

The girls have been busy doing crafts with Aunt Anna.  They LOVE craft time with Aunt Anna because she lets them use all the messy stuff (aka GLITTER!!)

Aunt Anna took them bowling.  Looks like she was able to tie with Camryn haha.

One of the many faces of Camryn.

We took a day trip to Hershey Park.  It was a great day and they have so many rides for the girls.  I went on a roller coaster with Maddy and towards the end she asked when it was going to be over because she was choking.  I am pretty sure she was about to be sick.  We may hold off on the roller coasters for awhile haha.

Checking out the snake.

Maddy tried her hand at driving. She was very cautious and slow, so that may work in our favor in the future :)

Matt went to a Nats game with Jeff one night so the girls and I had popcorn and a movie in bed.  It was so much fun, a movie night with my girls!!

We walked up to the school playground the other day and Maddy got to play on what will be her new school playground!

The girls spent a night at Pop Pop's and used him as a piece of furniture.

Our neighbors daughter cleared out some stuff and called the girls to see if they wanted it.  Of course they did when they saw this wedding dress.  Isn't she pretty :)

Camryn decided she wanted one of the dresses she was giving away and insisted on wearing it...it is a size 8, but she wore it.

The girls going to the pool with Jeff's neice.

Aunt Anna watched Sydney a few days and they got to go to a movie.

And do more glittery crafts.

And made homemade pizza and had a picnic (side note...our neighbors are building a nice big addition next door....like 12 ft. from our yard...booo).

Aunt Anna was talking to me on the phone and when she hung up, this is what Camryn looked like...you turn your head for a second and they are covered in glitter and lip gloss.

The girls are obsessed with Shrinky Dinks!!

I'm pretty sure her bathing suit is not covering much of anything haha.

I can't believe summer is winding down.  My baby will be starting kindergarten and reality is setting in.  I'll be clingy to every last day of summer!
