Christmas Over the Years

I was feeling reminiscent so I looked through some past Christmas pictures...

Christmas 2010 - Maddy's First Christmas

Christmas 2011 (Camryn was born just a few months after this :)

Christmas 2012 - Camryn's First Christmas

Christmas 2013

I can't wait to see what Christmas 2014 brings!!!!

Merry Christmas

Almost Christmas!!

Wow, tomorrow is Christmas Eve, where did December go, heck where did Fall go!?  I feel like we wrapped up summer and all the sudden it's Christmas.  I'm pretty excited for Christmas because the girls are at such wonderful ages!  Maddy excitedly searches for Elf every morning when she wakes and continue to ask how many days until Christmas!

The other night Santa rode through our neighborhood on a fire truck, blasting holiday music and tons of lights.  We went to friends house for pizza and watched Santa drive by as he does each year.

The girls with Spider Man :)

Camryn just hanging out watching Frozen in her PJ's with a pair of Maddy's old tennis shoes on.

All this pre-holiday fun has taken it's toll on all of us.  The girls have been sick for what seems like weeks now.  Maddy just finished up a prescription from her last dr. visit and I was at the dr. yesterday for a double ear infection.  Matt isn't feeling well but has not made a trip to the doctors yet.

Daddy squeezing in a nap between Christmas at Dad's and our friends holiday wine tasting party.

Ear infection or not I was off with the girls yesterday so I made use of my time and went to get new glasses, which I've been meaning to do.  Camryn and Maddy helped me pick out my new pair (below) (...to add to the illnesses Camryn's eye lid was red yesterday but I'm hoping that clears up since it didn't seem to be bothering her, it's always something though, winters are tough!!)

Camryn had fun trying on glasses.  Maddy was less than thrilled to have to do this with me, she's a home body and just wanted to go home and read her library books and watch a movie.

When we got home the girls couldn't decide on a movie so Maddy happily laid in our bed watching Hello Kitty.  I went up to check on her and found her and Cash cuddling.  It was so cute.

Last Monday Matt was off with the girls and they went up to Middletown to pick up 1/4 of a cow.  Maddy was a big helper and loved packing the meat in the cooler ha.

They also went to the Creamery to visit with the calves.

They also got to stop by Mimi's and visit.

A few pictures from the wine party we went to.

And last but not least, Matt's braiding skills!  He braids Cams hair and she loves it!  (don't mind the scratch on her face, she was just mauled by a classmate, but her teacher told us how well she handled it and was very proud of her, Cams is tough!)

3rd Annual Cookie party and other Christmas Festivities

We've been busy revving up for Christmas!  We've had the Holiday House at the preschool, the girls attended a holiday concert with Gammy and Aunt Anna, and we had our 3rd annual Cookie Party!

One evening Aunt Anna and Gammy picked the girls up and took them to the Tiny Tots holiday concert.

We also had the holiday house at the preschool.  The girls both sat on Santa's lap and told him what they wanted for Christmas.

And they did crafts.

And rode the pony.

They were twirling around in their dresses before their holiday performance started.

I think Camryn may have been one of the only Tadpoles (2 year olds) to sing.  She snuck in next to Maddy (in the picture above) but they found her and moved her over to her classes area.

Here are 2 videos of their performances.  Holiday Performance Part I & Part II
After the holiday house the girls went with Dad and Tammy and they met Aunt Anna for lunch.  The girls then had a sleepover at dads because Matt and I had a friends birthday party to attend that night.

Camryn and Rosco fell asleep first.

On my Monday off the girls and I went to Tysons to meet Mimi and AB.  It was the first time the girls had been in the Disney store.  Of course they LOVED it.  We also went to the American Girl Doll store and Maddy was in heaven!

Last but not least, we hosted our Cookie Party.  It's always so much fun, but boy am I glad that's behind us.  I feel like now I can relax and enjoy the holidays because all our entertaining is over :)

Before all our guests arrived the girls had a secret Santa gift exchange with a few of their friends.  I took the girls out to get gifts for their friends and they chose the gifts all on their own.  It was really cute.

We set up cookie decorating in the kitchen.  Matt made me promise we'll move away from sprinkles next year and use less messy things, like M&M's and gum drops...we'll see about that!

Most of the time Camryn was just squirting icing straight into her mouth!

Santa and his elf made an appearance again this year.  Some kids were ecstatic, others terrified, but it was a great time and for the first year both my girls sat on Santa's lap.

By the end of the night the girls were pooped.  Kendall and Maddy curled up in the sleeping bag to watch a movie.

Camryn loves Whit.

After seeing Santa multiple times over the last few weeks the girls were inspired to pretend to be Santa.  You can see in this video.  It was adorable!

The day after the party we cleaned up and tried to recover from all the excitement.

Recently the girls have gotten a kick out of letting the dogs give them kisses, I personally think it's gross but they crack up.  In this video poor Camryn keeps standing there with her eyes closed asking Callie for kisses and Callie just isn't interested, meanwhile Cash is giving Maddy enough kisses to last a lifetime.
