OBX June 2015

We had a wonderful vacation earlier this month when we headed to the Outer Banks for a week with some friends.

We headed out Friday morning and went to Jockeys Ridge park and stayed at an Inn in Hatteras the night before our house was ready and then our friends arrived Saturday and we were able to check in to our house.

Our house was in Frisco, about 5 houses from the beach.  The weather was wonderful the entire week.  The girls all had so much fun playing, as did the adults!  We took the ferry to Okracoke Island one day, had campfires on the beach, tried crabbing, did some fishing, collected sea shells, and caught sand crabs.

The day we arrived at the beach and first walked out into the sand the girls declared this "was the best day ever"!  These girls love the beach...I don't blame them.

The houses looked like they were going to be swallowed by the ocean.

Working on her corn hole skills.

The girls enjoyed dinner on the porch every night.

Fisherman Matt in action

The girls spent a lot of time playing on that hammock!

One night we attempted to get pictures of all the girls on the beach.  It was a gorgeous night, and the girls were goofy as ever.

We didn't catch many crabs, but the girls had fun testing out the crab net before we left for the beach.

Jockeys Ridge

That fish definitely wouldn't be enough for dinner....

Not a bad view for my morning run...Cape Hatteras Light House

Maddy LOVED catching waves!!

We did a lot of dancing on the deck.

The fishermen kept catching little sharks.

This is the life...

Frozen lemonade out of bag, why not!?

Another dance party on the deck.

As if we didn't leave the beach with enough sand every day, Camryn enjoyed covering herself in it.

The hunt for sand crabs continues.

We were sad to say good-bye to our house when the week was over!

After a week of partying with their friends the girls were so exhausted on the ride home.  They were really fussy because they were so tired so they insisted they were "Soo hot mommy" so they rode home in their underwear.
