Sunny days

Spring is almost here....no wait, it's snowing out right now! Ugh, this weekend was such a tease, it was so nice out!!

So let's see....Last Thursday Matt and the girls headed to MD.  Matt was going to help his brother do some work on their house and the girls love to go up and have sleepover with their cousins.  So they left Thursday and came home Saturday.  I think that gave them sufficient time to make it look like a tornado went through Uncle Chris and Aunt Sabrina's house.

They did their make-up

They still had pink eye brows yesterday!

They got to meet the newest member of the family, Matt's cousins new baby boy.

They rode electric scooters....how cute is Bryce helping Camryn.  The girls are lucky to have such wonderful cousins!!!

The girls sure were beat...

As soon as they got home on Saturday Maddy slept in the basement for a couple hours.  While they were on their way home, and since it was so nice out, Whitney and I went for a run, 7 miles from Vienna to Reston, it was a lot of fun.

Aunt Lisa and Shane came over for a Paleo Chinese Feast...super yummy...

Sunday we met friends at Clemyjontri park in McLean and had so much fun.

Maddy was running around playing so much it was hard to keep up with her to take pictures!  I did get  a quick photo of her monkey bar skills, she's a pro...and we had no idea

Sunday afternoon we played outside at home.

While we were outside playing I was snacking on kumquats...delicious by the way...and Camryn took them from me, took a bite, they were way too sour for her but what a cute face she made, but then she wouldn't give them back to me.  Here is my kumquat thief in action.

The girls are now recovering from an awesome time in MD followed by some nice time outside enjoying the weather...too bad as of right now it's snowing again.  Spring will be here soon enough.  In the meantime we have a little cutie turning 2 soon!  I can't believe our little Cams will be 2 next week.  Where has the time gone?  We're busy planning our schedules for next year, when both girls will be in preschool...so surreal to think about.  They are getting so big and they couldn't be more amazing.  Matt and I must have done something right to be blessed with our 2 princesses (and Maddy really believes she's a princess).  Her bff is in Disney right now and she said she was going to ask Daddy for more money for her piggy bank so she could go to Disney and have a sleepover with Sydney.  How cute!?

Speaking of cute...and piggy banks...Camryn was counting her change the other day...I guess she didn't have enough to go to Disney because she's still here.

and this picture because her in pigtails is just too cute not to want to look at!

Snowy Valentine

We got our first big snow storm in 3 years last week.  I think we ended up with between 14-16in. of snow.  The girls liked playing it.  Matt dug paths for the girls and Maddy ventured off it and Matt had to go get her ha.  With all her snow stuff on and how deep the snow was she couldn't move.

While I love the snow...and snow days :), I think we're ready for spring.  We're getting a little stir crazy...

We make pretend glasses:

And play farm in our undies:

We have indoor picnics with friends:

And make breakfast in extravagant dresses:

We've been painting:

And playing with stickers:

And playing with Legos:

Camryn even finds excitment in picking on Matt while he's sleeping.  She will quietly sneak up on him and then just poke him haha.  It's pretty cute, and Matt isn't the most graceful when he's woken out of a sound sleep so it actually is quite entertaining.

Friday was Valentines day.  We went to our favorite spot...Zinga

And we picked up Aunt Anna and got dinner and drinks at Whole Foods.  It was actually a lot of fun!

I tried to get a picture of Anna, Camryn, and Maddy but Maddy kept jumping in front of Camryn (Camryn is actually on that chair right next to Anna but Maddy is completely covering her)...

Matt let the girls pick out my Valentines day present and I'm pretty sure it was all Maddy considering I got purple sequenced slippers...very flashy and sooooo Maddy and I Love them.

Here are 2 of my cute Valentines:

We were itching to get out of the house so we headed to dads on Sunday.  The girls helped PopPop and Uncle Zach make muffins and cookies

The girls were being goofy in the car...They love Nutella and had it all over themselves!

The girls stayed out at Dad and Tammys on Sunday since Monday was a holiday.  Now it's Tuesday...back to work....

Out and About

I feel like we've been out and about so much since my last post.  Lets see if I remember how our week went.

We wrapped up last week with lots of fun quality time after work with the girls.

Playing in the playroom

The girls worked on their basketball skills

We played the girls favorite game now a days...Operation

The girls worked on tracing their letters

Maddy loves the show "Peppa Pig" and on the show they talk about how much they love to "jump up and down in muddy puddles".  Here she is having her pig jump up and down in muddy puddles....

We played trains

Camryn shut me and Maddy in the playroom so she could play basketball.  Here she was saying "bye bye" and grinning as she shut the door.  Of course 2 seconds later Maddy decided she needed to play as well and I'm sure that was followed by Camryn screaming as they fought over the basketball.

Camryn loves to give the dogs treats.  She also loves to run around without pants on and wear Maddy's shoes.  This sums it up.  (oh and look how precious Cash looks here :)  )

Some days while we're at work Keren and the girls meet up with friends to play.

Friday night we went out to get some frozen yogurt.  While we were out Maddy got a call from our neighbor asking her to come over and play.  She shoved her favorite fro yo aside and insisted we head home right away so she could go play.

While Maddy was busy at the neighbors Camryn and I had to stop our bedtime routine to take some pictures of her funny hair! (I must confess mine doesn't look much better ha)

Saturday morning I had a 5K, the Cupid 5K so I went off to my race and Matt took the girls to Dunkin Donuts for a special treat.

While I definitely don't consider myself fast I was happy with my 5K time.  I finished in 29:39 and 18th out of 65 in my age bracket.  I'm happy and it was a good run.

Saturday afternoon we went out to dads to hang out.

Chesney played the clarinet for the girls and then let them try it out.

Maddy was being goofy, I'm not sure what was going on here but the sequence of the pictures makes me laugh.

As usual by the time we headed home they were nice and tired.

Sunday Mom had planned to come get Camryn and spend some time with her and Maddy and I were going to do some cooking together.  Well Maddy couldn't risk her sister having fun without her so mom agreed to take both girls.  They went to Target and to the mall and out to lunch.  Maddy and Camryn sure are spoiled.  They came home with new valentines plates and cups, new little animals (they are obsessed with small things, little baby dolls, tiny animals, etc.), brand  new dress up clothes, new jewelry, and even new dresses and tutus.  Sunday night they both tried to sleep in their dress up clothes (Maddy got Anna's dress from Frozen and Camryn got a Princess Sofia dress).

Here Maddy is putting her new little baby to sleep on her bread plate at lunch.

And Camryn all excited about her new baby.

While the girls were out with mom Matt and I went looking at new sofas (considering our current ones are starting to rip from wear).  Look...fun, right?

Sunday night we just hung out.  Here are all my girls :)

While they look pretty relaxed above, Camryn's favorite place is the doggy bed.  She put a pillow and blanket in it the other day and this is how I found her (yogurt mustache and all)  (speaking of yogurt the child is obsessed, she could easily eat 4 yogurts a day and cries and hangs on the fridge begging for it...crazy right?!)

Yesterday Matt was still exhausted from our weekend of fun so I took the girls over to Anna's for a little bit so he could relax.  Maddy wore her new princess dress to school yesterday.  Before she left for school she said "Mommy, you know what my teachers will say?  They'll say "wow Maddy that is such a beautiful dress"" as she was grinning ear to ear.  The girl loves her clothes that's for sure.

Anna painted their nails.

And read books

Maddy was tired from her weekend too and wanted Gammy to hold her while she watched cartoons.

We're supposed to be getting a big snow storm Wednesday into Thursday this week...so we'll see what ends up happening with that.  See you next week :)
