Having fun

Tonight Maddy was pushing Cams around on the little car they have. Camryn is such a big girl she just held on and smiled. She also loves to climb on the girls pink recliner. You can't turn your head on her for a second!

Then we had a mini dance party in Maddys room. She loves dancing with her daddy.

Silly girls

Today was unseasonably warm so I took the girls to the park while Matt made dinner (double win for me!). Before we left for the park Maddy insisted on changing her shirt, saying her new choice in shirt was "SO beautiful". Then she told Matt she didn't like fire trucks, telling him she didn't like them because she wasn't a boy. We always get a good laugh from her.

During bath Camryn sat under the faucet and occasionally opened her mouth to drink some water. She giggled while doing it. She Loves water! She has also been taking steps more frequently. Still very wobbly, but steps none the less. She still wakes twice a night pretty consistently. It's almost D day though. I'll have to draw the line at 1 year. 1 year without a full nights sleep (except the occasional night away) is where I'll have to draw the line.

Speaking of nights out, Matt and I get a night away in about a week and a half and I can't wait for some time with my hubs. Happy early valentines day to us!

Raking Snow and Finger Painting

We had a fun but uneventful weekend.

Maddy played outside and raked the snow. Then Maddy and Matt had some fun finger painting. It amazes me every day how much Maddy is growing up. She is very thoughtful when it comes to Camryn (most of the time). And she really hears what we say. You'll hear her say something and know she heard it from us, even if she acts like she doesn't know better a lot of the time.

Camryn is getting such a personality and she cracks herself up. It's like she knows how to respond to situations now, like when she should laugh or when we are being serious. It's so cute, if you are laying on the ground (which we do a lot of here) she will crawl up right next to you and just throw herself down and roll on to you.

Playing with pictures

This post is really just for me to share my latest obsession. It's the Over app that allows me to put cool fonts on my photos. It combines my love for nerdy quotes and my love for photography and allows me to pretend to be creative! Here are some of my faves so far.

Oh and a tidbit from tonight...Maddy told Matt that he was her hero (doesn't your heart melt?). Then in the playroom Camryn was using a walker toy and Maddy wanted it. I told her she knew how to walk and didn't need to use it. So what does she do but throw herself on the floor and claim she can't walk. DRAMA Queen. Then I was leaving her room tonight and as I'm leaving out of nowhere she says "mommy you're so nice". Haha she cracks me up.

First Snow

So we had a little snow that we woke up to today. Only an inch or so, but enough for me to classify it as our first snow this winter and Camryns first snow ever!

Maddy loved playing in the snow. She is such a big girl. She would sled down the hill all by herself and pull her sled back up the hill and go again. So independent. Camryn even went for a ride with daddy and big sis.

My First Ponytail

I must document this day.  Camryn's first ponytail.  I also have to say that this picture made me tear up a bit, #1 how beautiful is she! and #2 she looks so grown up :(

Weekend at Mimi's

We spent part of this long weekend up in MD and had a great time.

Friday night there was a big fire at Chris and Sabrinas, complete with a tractor and all. Maddy was scared of the tractor but eventually warmed up and had fun throwing sticks in the fire. Her cousins offered to roast a hot dog for her. They asked if she wanted a city or country hot dog. When I asked the difference they said the country one was covered in ashes...tough choice :)

No one chose to sleep Friday night. The dogs paced, Maddy woke multiple times, and Camryn was up 1-3am. We were all tired Saturday but had a great time playing with Mimi and PopPop Jack and going to Bryce and Kileys basketball games.

Sunday we were back home and watched the Ravens beat the Patriots. We are Super Bowl bound and Matt is very excited!

Sisters

I don't feel like I've had a pic of the girls together lately. I tried tonight and now I know why, Camryn is on the move. She crawls at super speeds. Tonight I tried to get picture of them together, Camryn kept trying to escape.

You should see when I try to get her pjs on. Lamps go flying off tables, diaper cream goes flying across the room, she is a baby with a mission...

Mommy I've Had a Long Day

It's 6pm on Sunday night and Maddy just told me she was tired and she'd had a long day. And she is not kidding. We had a wonderfully busy weekend. Friday Maddy went to cousin Ryan's birthday party at Pump it Up and she had a blast. I stayed home since it was late for Camryn but Maddy told me all about playing with her cousins and going down the slides with her Aunt Sabrina, she just had a ball.

Saturday we went to Frying Pan Park to see some animals. Then our neighbor came over to play with Maddy. Whitney was over all day and we all watched the Ravens beat the Broncos!! Maddy loved cheering with us.

Today we went to Barrel Oak Winery with Aunt Lisa, Shane, and a bunch of other people and had a blast. Maddy had a friend to play with and it was such a great time despite the dreary weather. We went straight to Gammys from the winery to have dinner for aunt Anna's birthday (which is tomorrow)!

Whew, what a great weekend. Hopefully we all get some much needed rest tonight.

We Have Steps

Cams took her first wobbly unassisted steps today. 2 steps, agh walking is right around the corner.
