Thanksgiving 2016 - Part 1 - Savannah

We left for Savannah the day before Thanksgiving.  It was the first stop on our trip to Disney World!

We stayed in an Airbnb Condo right across the street from Forsyth park.  We loved Savannah, especially the park!

On the way to Savannah we stopped at Walmart to stretch our legs.  We bought this lovely cat for a white elephant gift and Camryn adopted it for the car ride.

You have to take a picture when you pass South of the Border.

We had Thanksgiving dinner at The Pirate House.

There is so much beauty and history in Savannah.  We never wanted to leave!  We took a horse drawn carriage history tour of the the city.

We even got to see Santa on Borough St.  They had a tree lighting ceremony, concert, and Santa. It was so much fun.

We took a tour of Juliette Gordon Low's house.  She was the founder of Girl Scouts.  Maddy took all these pictures herself and then made a poster to share at her Daisy Meeting in December.

Juliette was very artistic and painted all these plates.  Lots of the artwork and sculptures in the house were her works as well.

We went to the famous Leopold's Ice Cream in Savannah

This is the type of carriage we rode on.
