Clean-up Day, Kitchen Remodel, and Chuck E Cheese

Two Saturdays ago we had clean-up day and conferences at the preschool.  Matt leads clean up day so he was busy at the school all day.  The girls and I went up there for a little bit because I had conferences with both girls teachers.

Maddy's teacher says she's a joy to have in the class.  She is definitely shy but has no problem telling the teacher when she needs something or participating in class.  She did say she'll hear Maddy and Sydney talking and they'll decide they want to ask Ms. Robyn (teacher) something and Sydney will be the one to go up and ask rather than Maddy.  She said she knew most of her upper case letters and a few lower case.  She said Maddy is eager to please and she loves having her in class.  Good job Maddy!!!

Camryn's teacher basically started off by telling me how much she loves Camryn and how she has a soft spot for Camryn.  She said she's doing well, she plays well with the other kids and then continued to talk about how much she loves Camryn. They have a special bond and we are so happy Ms. Amy is Camryn's teacher, they love each other and it's adorable!!

We finished our mini kitchen remodel!!

Matt and I both agree we will never paint cabinets again...wow that was hard work!

But the end result was well worth it.

And a before and after

During the renovation the fridge was in eat in area of the kitchen and the water line obviously not hooked up...poor Camryn kept trying though.

Maddy loves having her hair curly now so before bed and after bath I braid her hair.

And in the morning she has "curly" hair.

Callies tongue will always put a smile on my face, ha.

Camryn woke early the other morning...as usual, and I came down to find her watching tv with daddy and it was just so cute.

Last weekend Mom organized for all of us to go to Chuck E Cheese.  We had a lot of fun!

Surprised they let Zach in with that creepy mustache (apparently for a fundraiser for "Mo"vember)

Maddy hit the jackpot on one game.

Camryn loved this ride.

Camryn walked around just putting tokens in games and walking away.  She was on this little tea cup ride and as she was riding she kept feeding it tokens. I'm pretty sure the tea cup ride spun for at least an hour after I made her get off because of all the tokens she fed it!

One of the girls favorite things to do is watch the guys at Whole Foods make pizza.  The main guy we see there, loves them and always gives them samples and they just watch them make pizza after pizza. Camryn saw them make pizza with mushrooms on it once, so she tells them they need to do sauce, then cheese, then we ask what next and she always says mushrooms haha.

Camryn "playing" checkers at Whole Foods.

Saturday night was the Fall Auction and Social at the preschool and it had a 70's theme.  Due to the theme Matt and Shane were given mustaches to wear.  Matt looks like he has a carpet on his face and the mustache actually looks real on Shane...it was hilarious!

The new owner of the school giving a tribute to Ms. Beattie (who recently sold the school)

We were out front the other day and the girls were playing in their moon bounce...which they absolutely love, and then the girls starting racing into the pile of leaves Matt was making.  Here's a little video of it.

Yesterday Matt was doing leaves most of the day and the girls and I were inside making lunch and Camryn kept saying "cash all warm, otay mama" and I look over and sure enough, he was warm...with about 8 blankets on and even a little stuffed doggie tucked in next to him.

The other day was our neighbor, Lily's, birthday.  She always loves seeing the girls and is so sweet to them so they made one of their signature birthday videos, complete with a million twirls.  Here is the video.

Matt is off today with the girls.  Camryn loves having her hair braided now...the kid that wouldn't let me touch her hair now wants it braided 24/7 and her hair is very soft and fine so it's quite challenging.  I got this picture from Matt today...he actually did a pretty good job if I do say so myself!!

Halloween, the Lake, and Goofy Girls

Last week was Halloween!!! So in honor of Halloween I put together a collage of our last 4 Halloween's.  My how they've grown!!

Maddy was a Queen and Camryn was a fairy.  When picking out her costume with Gammy, Maddy said she didn't want to be a princess she wanted to be the Queen.  Their costumes fit their personalities pretty well if I say so myself!

We went trick or treating with our neighbors and the kids had a blast.

Checking out their treats

Candy wasted.

Last weekend we started tiling our floors (the girls insisted on wearing their costumes all weekend).

The girls were helping hand Matt spacers while they waited for PopPop and Miss Tammy to pick them up for their trip to the Lake!

Getting ready to degloss the cabinets.

While the girls were at the lake Matt and I finished tiling the kitchen floor and got the cabinets ready for painting.  (we plan to paint them white in hopes that it gives our kitchen an affordable face lift :)

At the lake the girls hung out around the campfire.

And made funny faces

And got PopPop to bead with them.

When I asked Maddy what they did at the Lake she said "eat a lot of candy".  haha I thought that was hilarious...and the fact that my super strict father thinks his grand babies can do no wrong and will deny them nothing, I'm thinking that may be true!!

Last night the girls were doing puzzles on the iPad and then just being goofy. The videos are HERE and HERE.  I was trying to get some video of Camryn talking, just because I don't feel like we have much video of her talking and I find it so funny she's just cheesin' for the most part and Maddy is like putting on a show, fixing her hair and doing all the talking, so typical, ha.

Camryn had her ENT appointment this week.  They say fluid in her ears is causing her to not hear very well and we have a month of nasal spray and then we'll go back for another appointment and a hearing test.  If the fluid has not gone then she'll need tubes in her ears.  When at the doctor Cams is so good!  She doesn't mind the dr. looking in her ears and is always just SO GOOD, I'm very thankful for that!

The other night Maddy fell out of her bed.  I woke to a loud thud, followed by her crying so we went in there and while Matt was comforting her I moved all the books from her bed.  She likes to read before bed so she had stacks and stacks of books on the end of her bed, which I moved so they didn't fall in the middle of the night.  In the morning she woke up and came downstairs.  I asked if she remembered falling out of her bed and she didn't, but she did seem very concerned as she was telling me how all her books somehow moved off her bed in the middle of the night.  The look of relief on her face when I told her I'd moved them was priceless, it was so adorable...I guess you just had to be there to see it!

Cams got on the floor the other night and was loving on and talk to Callie.
