Colonial Williamsburg & Busch Gardens

A few days before Matt's birthday we took a day off and headed down to Busch Gardens.  In true Coulby form we arrived early.  We decided to walk around Colonial Williamsburg since the park didn't open yet.

It was so pretty, I can't wait to go back and spend some more time there.

Checking out the well.

The girls starting "baaa'ing" at these sheep and one old one started talking to them and walking over, it was so funny.

We left Colonial Williamsburg and headed over to Busch Gardens.  We were meeting up with our friends, but they weren't there yet so we rode a few rides and played until they arrived.

We were on our final ride when they called a code "something or other" and all rides had to stop.  Storms were coming...and then the skies opened up.  It was POURING!!!!  We stood under a little tree for a minute, and then a nice family from Boston shared their umbrella with us.  We finally decided to just make a run for it (from the middle of the park to the entrance).  It's very hard for me to see with my glasses when it's raining, I need little windshield wipers for them...that'd make me really cool right?!  We made it to the tram as they called a code purple (this one I remember) because it shut everything down, no more tram because of lightening......

We were parked in Italy...not sure how to get to Italy from England but we decided if we were going to ever get back to our place for the night, we'd have to just walk, and we did and we found our way to our car and we were soaked!

When we got to the resort to check in, everyone and their mother was there too.  I had to stand inside for a good 30-40 minutes, soaking wet, to check in.  While I was in there Cams fell asleep and when we finally checked in she was just shivering, poor thing.

We recovered quickly and had a fun night!!!  We headed home the next morning.

Daddy's 35th Birthday and the 4th of July

We celebrated Daddy's birthday on July 3rd by having some friends over.  We had some fireworks, an american flag cake, set up the moon bounce and slip and slide, played corn hole, and just had a great time with some close friends!  Here we are in this video singing Happy Birthday to Matt.

Daddy loves to get his hands on some fireworks!

Legal fireworks (if you call them that) are no fun :)

The kids (and adults) had a blast catching fire flies.

On the actual 4th of July we went to our friends house for a pool party.  It rained on and off but overall was a nice enough day.  We ended the night with fireworks in the cul de sac.  Cams fell asleep...she wasn't very amused I guess, or was just so exhausted from ALL the fun we'd been having!!

On Matt's actual birthday, Sunday the 5th, we met up with Mimi, PopPop Jack, and Aunt Bren for lunch in Reston Town Center at Clydes.

Mimi and Maddy were working hard on a word search.

Happy 35th birthday to one amazing stud muffin of a man!!!  All your girls love you very much!!!

A week at Mimi's

We had a nice harvest from our garden the other day, how pretty is that!

Maddy loves cooking with Aunt Anna

All this summer fun means the second Cams hits her seat she's out.

I had a yard sale one morning and Gammy took the girls so Matt could get some things done around the house.  Look at them in their new maxi dresses!

Monday night we met Mimi to give her the girls for the week.  Maddy had my phone on the way there and took some pictures of Cams in the car.  Camryn is quite entertaining with her facial expressions.

While with Mimi the girls had picnics.

They got to pet a snake at the nature center.

They went to story time at the library and a musical in the park.

They met up with AB for lunch one day.

They got to watch Lion King in their PJ's at the church one night.

And they got to spend some time at the pool with their cousins followed by a cook out at Uncle Chris and Aunt Sabrina's to celebrate Aunt Sabrina's birthday!!

All that fun at the pool called for an afternoon snooze.

The girls come home today and we are sooooo excited to see them.  Today is Friday and they've been with Mimi since Monday night.  We are so happy they got to spend some time up there and can't wait to see them and hear all about the fun they had!!  Even better...we leave for the beach in the morning with Gammy, Aunt Anna, and Uncle Zach, whooo hooo!!!
