Bethany Beach

A few weeks ago we got to take our 2nd beach trip of the summer!  We went to South Bethany with Gammy, Link, Aunt Anna, Jeff, and Uncle Zach.  Gammy and us were the only ones able to stay all week, but we were still so happy to get to spend a little bit of time with everyone throughout the week.  We stay in South Bethany and LOVED it.

Camryn helped daddy strap up the coolers.

The girls decided to get in to Anna's clothes and dress like her.

The boys hanging out playing corn hole.  Our house was so close to the beach and just perfect for all of us.

We asked Maddy and Camryn what their favorite part of the trip was and one of their responses was sparklers...it's the little things right.

We spent our evenings playing on the beach and surf fishing.

And our nights were spent having fun and talking around the kitchen table.

All lined up.

Anna got lots of lovin.

For the middle of the summer, the beach really wasn't crowded.  Another reason why we fell in love with South Bethany.

This particular morning the dolphins were showing off and swimming so close to shore.

The dolphins are jumping out of the water in this picture (they are the two black dots haha).

Gammy and Link.

Growling at Annie.

We got to meet up with Riley, Emma, Logan, and Steph and her mom one day on the beach.  The girls had fun playing together.

Mr. Logan...chill little beach baby.

Jumping over their hole.

We were actually caught in a down pour this day.  We thought the clouds may roll over and then the skies opened up.  We were drenched...pretty funny actually.

Maddy LOVES cheeseburgers.

Aunt Anna sure knows how to entertain the girls.

One day Matt, Zach, Anna, and I took a bay fishing trip while mom watched the girls.  We had SO much fun!!!  We wanted to extend the trip past the 3 hours...but then we were caught in a storm...on the bay, in a boat which was kind of scary and once again we ended up drenched...but it was still a great time!!

I caught the first two fish...but they were too small to keep.

Zach caught 2 horseshoe crabs.

Matt caught a flounder and then he caught something so big is rod snapped in a few different placed.  Needless to say the monster got away unseen...we can only speculate what it was but we're going with whale  :)

We all caught something, but Anna was the only one to catch a flounder big enough to keep!

It was beautiful out on the bay.

Clouds starting to roll in.

They eventually put Anna and I in this little teeny room in the boat for the ride back because the rain was just beating us as we high tailed it back to the marina.

Sweaty and soaking wet.

We survived!

We went to dinner one night.  It started like this.

and ended like this....pooped little girls.

We found a puzzle at the house and Anna and I were hooked, we spent a few late nights working on this puppy.  I love puzzles!!!

Beach kisses.

Thanks Gammy for an awesome trip to the beach!!!

Daddy was as in to Maddy's little "draw your own duffle bag" as Maddy was.

The girls really enjoy flying kites.  A few evenings there wasn't much wind...so they decided they'd just run to keep their kites up.  Here's a video of them flying kites one night.

Matt and I were able to sneak away one afternoon for happy hour at our favorite spot!

Gammy painted the girls nails.

And they decided to become obsessed with rolly pollies and found them all over the place.

Squeezing her.

I really tried to get a good picture of them together...silly girls.

They found this little sand pile and thought it was so much fun to push each other off of it.

Maddy thought it was fun to lay in the surf and let the waves come up on her.

Cams followed suit.

I'd have to agree.

Gammy and the girls made a mermaid in the sand.

Daddy riding the waves.

We got ice cream on the board walk one night.

Just a little chilly this evening.

Doesn't everyone eat cereal on corn hole boards?

The constant hunt for sand crabs.

Daddy caught a small flounder while surf fishing.

We had a great week at South Bethany.  The weather was beautiful and we were so happy to spend time with family!!
