Spring picnic

So as my Monday blog posts are quickly turning in to Thursday blog posts it's getting harder and harder to remember what we did the week before.  As the girls get bigger things seem to get crazier and crazier...in a good way.  We have been so busy having fun time is just flying by.  It also doesn't help that work has been pretty hectic for us as well.

So let's see.  If I recall, last week we read books together.

We went to moms house to hang out.

We celebrated Callie's 6th birthday.  The girls sang to her.  You can see HERE.

Camryn took Callie for a birthday walk.

We rode scooters.

And Maddy rode her bike.  She's getting so good at riding her bike it's one of her favorite things to do.

We ate popsicles.  Camryn is so picky and wants good old fashioned popsicles while Maddy likes to eat  "healthy" food.  She always asks if something is healthy and if I tell her it is she will at least try it.  She LOVES these popsicles made with coconut milk, fresh fruit, honey, and vanilla...yummm.

Maddy has been loving getting dirty, digging for worms, climbing trees, catching frogs...usually while wearing princess dresses of course.  Here she is climbing a tree with a friend.

They also like to hang out with friends and watch cartoons.  This day happened to be Isla's birthday.  The night before the girls had sang to her.  THIS video is so cute...look at Camryn (with no pants on) following Maddy's lead.  Classic.

Or jump on the moon bounce.

It's been pretty hot and humid lately so we've spent a lot of time in our bathing suits...Maddy always wants to wear a zucchini, and every time we tell her it's a bikini, at this point I'm pretty convinced she just likes calling them zucchini's.

Saturday was the spring picnic at the preschool.  They had moon bounces, crafts, games, face painting, live music, pizza, bake sale, pony rides, and the kids spring performance!  It was a great time.  We are so fortunate to have such an amazing preschool.

Camryn was too small for the bigger moon bounce/maze/slide and one of Maddy's teachers saw she was upset and offered to take Camryn through it...see just awesome school AND people!

The theme of the performance was "It seems a little fishy to me" and Maddy's class was Octopi.  See Maddy below on the right in her pink Octopus hat?

After the picnic we had more popsicles...

Followed by fishing....

And more popsicles.

We also went to the pool Saturday which made for a fun filled long day!

Sunday Aunt Anna took Maddy to Beauty and the Beast at Wolf Trap while we took Camryn to the pool.

Camryn likes to sit on the raft in the pool...not actually get in the pool.

Camryn being goofy while doing a craft.

Maddy holding a little frog in her hands.  I asked for a picture and she said she couldn't open her hands because the frog would jump out.

And he did.

We've been having so much fun and I just get so excited for every weekend...and so sad when Monday rolls around.

The girls are doing so well.  Maddy has become such a good eater and is really growing up.  She puts herself to sleep by reading books in her room some nights, while Camryn insists on me laying with her until she falls asleep.  Camryn loves riding the scooter and Maddy is great on her bike.  Maddy also loves to swim.  She gets in the pool with her puddle jumper on and just swims around, she loves it and will be starting swim lessons soon.  Maddy has her last gymnastics class coming up and both girls will be in summer camp at the preschool starting in July!!  Camryn is talking more and more and basically lives off of pizza, popsicles, and yogurt...healthy right?!

We have a busy summer ahead of us but I'll try to continue to capture as much of it as I can!!  Happy Almost Friday!
