Happy Fathers Day

This past weekend was fathers day and our girls are so lucky to have such a wonderful daddy!!

A quick re-cap of our week last week.

Maddy had a field trip to Frying Pan Park which happened to be close to my work so I went up there on my lunch break to surprise her and say hi.

Here and her bff were hula hooping.

And she was just hanging around the playground.

The news happened to be at the park so there was a little snippet of Maddy and her class on the news. (Maddy has the blue hat on in the middle)

After they had a cook out at the park she got a ride back home with her friend.

It's been really hot out so the girls have spent a lot of time playing in the pool/sprinkler/etc.

And playing with dried up worms...eww

Saturday we had family pictures in Frederick.  The photographer took so many we're still trying to pick our 15 favorite!  Here are a few Matt took before the photographer showed up.

It was perfect that we were up in Frederick and it happened to be Fathers Day weekend because Matt got to eat his favorite chinese food!  After pictures we all went to Aunt Brens for lunch.  It was so much fun.  The girls looked for 4 leaf clovers with Mimi

The weather was beautiful.  We had such a great time.

After we got home from Frederick we went to our neighbors house so Matt and Shane could do some work while the rest of us played in the pool.  After pool fun we had pizza and hung out for awhile.  It was a great time as usual.

Sunday morning Matt and I got up and I made him breakfast.  We were anticipating the girls being up so we woke at 7am...and of course the girls ended up sleeping until 8am (Maddy) and 9:30am (Cams). Maddy asked if I was proud...YES!! She usually gets up at 6/630 on the weekends so 8 was a treat!

As soon as Maddy woke she wanted to give daddy the card and project she made him at school.  He loved them!  The card she made at school asked what her daddy's favorite food was, among other things, and she said mashed potatoes and green peppers...how funny!

The girls also got Matt a "Best Dad Ever" tee shirt and a key chain.  Maddy had gymnastics and then Matt got to choose what he wanted to do.  He voted for fishing so we spent a bit of time fishing.  Maddy loves to fish!
