Coulby Slice: Rain, Snow, and Daffodils

This past weekend brought some crazy weather. It started with rain, lots and lots of rain, which then on Sunday turned in to sleet and snow. 2 days before April and it was snowing. With all this crazy weather it's a miracle our daffodils are blooming. Yesterday and today have been really nice and while playing outside Maddy was so happy to see the daffodils, she tried to pick them and I begged her not too, they serve as a reminder that Spring may actually be here...I'm not ready for them to be picked just yet :)

Last week I was able to go on a few nice long runs...my current record is 8.2 miles! Thanks to my amazingly supportive husband who runs at a snails pace just to be able to run with and motivate me. Here is Cams celebrating on top of me after my run last week.

With the weather being so crazy we've been trying to find fun things to do with the girls indoors. They made pizza last week...

They've done a lot of cuddling on the couch and watching Frozen (a million times)

We made and painted bird houses this weekend.

They also put on their rain coats and jumped in puddles and played in the rain.

The few moments over the last few days when it wasn't raining they played ball outside and picked up sticks (being daddy's big helpers).

We went to our neighbors house on Friday and the kids watched Frozen (surprise surprise) and the rain did clear up for a period of time so we could go outside and have a little bon fire.

Maddy was supposed to have her 1st gymnastics class on Sunday so we got all dressed and she insisted on wearing a tutu. We got there only to realize that class had been moved to start next Sunday. Maddy was disappointed so we went to our happy place, Zinga, for some froyo, froyo fixes most things...
