Despite Maddy's Mono and Camryn's strep throat that hit my poor girls at the end of July, Matt and I were able to get away for our planned anniversary trip.  Thanks to Mimi and Gammy for chipping in to take care of our sick girls!!

We rented a small cabin on the York River and had a wonderful weekend.  Full of relaxing, naps, and fishing.

There was a bald eagle that hung out on the tree behind our cabin.  It was so beautiful to watch!

One day we came home from work and noticed the laundry room ceiling was coming down.  The master bath just happens to be right above this area.  Darn...time to redo the master :)  The very last room in the house to be renovated!

Shopping for tubs!  The girls were such troopers over the last few weeks as we go from showroom to showroom to granite place to tile place to Lowe's and Home Depot and all over again.

We went into Vienna with friends for a country festival they were having.

For my birthday we met friends and family at a winery.  Camryn found a moth and carried it around until it didn't more any more.  She loves moths (poor moth)

The kids loved the weeping willow tree at the winery.

After my birthday we met up with Mimi for dinner and Maddy and Camryn went to go spend the week with Mimi.  While they were gone Matt and I took good care of Molly and Molly.

The girls got to enjoy days by the pool with Mimi.

They got to feed the calves and hold kittens at the creamery.

The girls are going to be in my cousins wedding next month and their flower girl dresses have arrived!

I went out to dinner with mom for my birthday one night and we had Sake and Ramen, it was delicious!

 Anna shared all her summer pictures of all the fun she had with the girls.  So while these didn't all happen in August I figured I'd attach them here.

On their last day with Annie they got mani pedis and mini golfed and got ice cream!  This summer they also did a lot of cooking, they bowled, went to the movies and fountains, went out for donuts, did crafts, went to the pool, and much much more!  They love that time with Aunt Annie!
